Worthington 'Heroes Behind the Badges' blood drive set for Aug. 6

As local blood supplies fall into a critical shortage, Worthington Fire Department, Police Department, Ambulance Services, Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, and Sanford Worthington Medical Center are teaming up with Community Blood Bank to host the annual Heroes Behind the Badges blood drive.

The community blood drive will take place on Thursday, Aug. 6 at Sanford Worthington Medical Center, 1018 Sixth Ave., from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 5 p.m. Donor registration is located in the main hospital entrance.

Every blood type is urgently needed, and donors are the only path to rebuilding the summer supply.
