WMS assistant principal hired as Murray County Central principal

Tessa Dirks has been hired to be the principal at Murray County Central High School.

Dirks has served as the assistant principal at Worthington Middle School since 2023. Before that, she was instructional coach for District 518's Teaching & Learning Department, beginning those duties in 2014.

Dierks is a graduate of from Murray County Central High School. She later graduated from Augustana University in 2004 and in 2017 with her master's degree, as well as from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2023.

She started her career in education as a paraprofessional at Murray County Central from 2004 to 2005. Other professional experience includes teaching art classes for Lynd Public Schools from 2005 to 2010 and teaching art at Worthington High School from 2010 to 2014.
