Spencer Wieneke has been hired as District 518's new Learning Center Principal for 2023-24.
Wieneke is a graduate of Adrian High School who went on to earn his elementary education degree from Winona State University. He joined the Worthington Middle School staff in 2015, teaching sixth grade. During his time working for District 518, Wieneke completed his master’s degree from Augustana University, and then his Educational Leadership degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He has also been a coach for many different Worthington Middle School and Worthington High School sports teams during his tenure.
Wieneke has spent the past year as the Learning Center Dean of Students, assisting the Learning Center Principal in the overall administration and support for the specialized programs at the Learning Center (both day/night school offerings), VIBE (online educational opportunities), Targeted Services and Summer School.
