WHS junior Alondra Leon Flores took second place in the original oratory varsity finals. Several Trojans competed in next-In finals, with Jay Chavez fifth in extemporaneous reading, Aurora Ramos Ramos, fourth in great speeches and Thiri Akari sixth in discussion.

In the Novice Finals, it was: Chloe Erlandson, first in drama; Gerelyn Menijvar, first in poetry, Mikeayla Engidaw, second in prose; Gisel Martinez, third in prose; Braddock Marquardt, fourth in humorous; and Rut Ramos Ramos, fifth in poetry.

The team’s next meet will be this Saturday in Redwood Falls.
