Wednesday night crash in Jackson County injures two

Two individuals were injured in a two-vehicle crash that took place Wednesday evening in Jackson County.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro operated by Gabriel Villareal, 21, of Heron Lake was southbound on Jackson County 9 and a 2005 International semi operated by Joshua Paul Matter, 25, of Clemens was westbound on Minnesota 60. The vehicles collided in the intersection; the crash took place at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.


Villareal was taken to Windom Area Health with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Camaro, Madison Lilly Beetner, 19, of Round Lake, was taken to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury. The semi driver was unhurt,


The Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Windom Ambulance and Heron Lake Fire Department assisted at the scene.
