The United Way of Nobles County 2022 fundraising campaign is currently underway.
Toni Brouillet is president of the United Way of Nobles County Board of Directors. She said the organization is excited and thrilled to get back out into the community and help its partner agencies in person once again, and that it's encouraging to hear that even through a pandemic, the community can come together to help support each other as needed.
As an independent non-profit, the United Way of Nobles County is able to recognize needs and gaps in services that affect the people of Nobles County. It partners with agencies that provide programming to address these needs and fill in service gaps.
In addition to its 17 agency partners, the United Way of Nobles County is also the local sponsor of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program, which delivers books monthly to children from birth to their fifth birthday for free. Each month, more than 350 children across Nobles County receive a book in the mail. There are no income guidelines to this program.
Eighty-five cents of every dollar donated to United Way of Nobles County goes directly to its partner agencies to provide programs and services to those in need. The 2022 fundraising goal is $180,000. Call 372-7541 for more information, or visit www.worthingtonmnchamber.com/united-way.
