A two-vehicle collision Wednesday in Jackson county sent one person to the hospital. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says Carrie Wieres of Lakefield was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on County Road 14 and Tyler Holmes was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am northbound on County Road 17 when the two collided in the intersection. Wieres was taken by ambulance to the Jackson Medical Center for treatment of possible injuries. Both vehicles were totaled. The Lakefield Fire Department, Lakefield Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol and a towing service assisted on the scene.
