The Worthington City Council will have a pair of special meetings next week.
The week's first meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at City Hall. Council members are scheduled to hear presentations on budgets for public works, Memorial Auditorium, finance, city clerk/elections -and administration, mayor/council.
The second special city council meeting of the week is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday in the council chambers. Two items are on the agenda for that meeting -- discussion of the planned 2024 Third and Fourth Avenue reconstruction project, and a continuation of a discussion involving the Minnesota Department of Transportation on the U.S. 59 turnback that could result in none, one or two roundabouts between the Humiston Avenue and Ryan's Road intersection and the corner of Humiston Avenue and Oxford Street.
