Two injured in two-vehicle Cottonwood County crash

Two people were injured as the result of a crash Sunday in Cottonwood County.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol. a 2009 Chevy Cobalt operated by Elizabeth Louise Eckhoff, 26, of Brooklyn Center as well as a 2007 Hyundai Sonata operated by Brent Charles Tesch, 38, of Eagle Lake were both traveling eastbound on Minnesota 30 in Selma Township of Cottonwood County when they collided with each other. The crash took place at approximately 6:24 p.m.


Tesch sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the St. James – Mayo Clinic. Eckhoff had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.


The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Lake Police Department, and Darfur First Responders assisted at the scene.
