Two people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Worthington.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2012 Toyota RAV4 operated by Marvin Perezmiranda, 23, of Worthington, was traveling south on Fifth Avenue and a 2005 Chevy Equinox operated by Celestino Felipe Mazariegosgarcia, 34, of Worthington was eastbound on 11th Street when the vehicles collided in the intersection. The crash was reported at 4:46 p.m. Monday.
Perezmiranda and a passenger in the Equinox, Naomi Avilez, 35, of Worthington, were both taken to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Worthington Police Department, Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.
