Four Indigenous artists to be featured in Pipestone

Pipestone National Monument will host four Indigenous artists this summer at the Visitor Center during four separate residencies, each lasting one week. Numerous artists applied from all over the country.


Scheduled from May 25-31 is Mercedese Young Man Afraid of His Horses. Kelly Looking Horse will be at the monument from June 15– 21, Daryl No Heart from July 1– 7 and HarmonyStar Straub from Aug. 19– 25.

 

Artists will be demonstrating their own style of artwork while engaging with visitors from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day they’re at the site. These events are free and open to the public.
