The board of directors at Promise Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center serving northwest Iowa, has announced that current co-CEO and COO Emily Tuschen has been named the Chief Executive Officer of Promise Community Health Center beginning July 1.
Amy Kleinhesselink has resigned as co-CEO and COO and is pursuing other opportunities outside of Promise Community Health Center.
Tuschen began serving at Promise in January 2016 as a clinic nurse, and she has also served as clinic manager and chief operating officer. She brings varied medical experience and expertise to Promise, previously working at critical access hospitals in a variety of departments including emergency, labor and delivery, postpartum and medical floor. Emily earned an associate degree in nursing at St. Luke’s College in Sioux City in 2008 and a bachelor of science degree in nursing at Dordt College in Sioux Center in 2009.
