Thursday rollover crash results in injuries to two Slayton teens

Two Slayton teens were injured Thursday in a rollover crash in Murray County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2006 Ford Mustang operated by a 16-year-old Slayton female was northbound on Minnesota 267 in Slayton Township when it left the roadway and rolled. The crash took place at 1:32 p.m. Thursday near milepost 2.

Both the driver and her passenger, Kianndra Denano Fergen, 18, of Lennox, S.D., were taken to Murray County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Murray County Sheriff's Office and the Slayton Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.

Two juvenile females were injured Thursday evening in a three-vehicle collision in Fairmont.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2019 Ford Transit Van operated by Julius Chad Zimmerman, 58, of Lakeville, a 2013 Ford Edge operated by Amanda Lynn Wintz, 37, of Mankato and a 2014 Dodge Avenger operated by a 16-year-old female were all northbound on Minnesota 15 when they collided at Torgerson Drive. The crash was reported at 7:41 p.m. Thursday.

The driver of the Avenger as well as her passenger — a 17-year-old female, also from an unknown city — were both taken to Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont with non-life-threatening injuries. The Fairmont Police and Fire Departments, the Martin County Sheriff's Office and the Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
