Three people sustain injuries in late Sunday afternoon crash

A Minneapolis woman sustained life-threatening injuries and a Spirit Lake man was also injured Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Minnesota 60 near St. James.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2007 Toyota Highlander operated by Sharon Ann Mordorski, 74, of Minneapolis was traveling southbound from the rest area across Minnesota 60, and a 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora operated by Garrett Jacob Schellenberg, 20, of Spirit Lake was westbound on Minnesota 60. The vehicles collided in the left lane of westbound Minnesota 60; the crash took place in wet conditions and was reported at 5:40 p.m. Sunday from Watonwan County's Rosendale Township.

Mordorski was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System Mankato with her life-threatening injuries. Schellenberg and his passenger, Jeremiah Joe Cash, 20, of Craig, were both taken to Mayo Clinic Health System St. James with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Watonwan County Sheriff's Office, as well as the St. James Fire Department and Ambulance, assisted at the scene.
