Three injured in two-vehicle Redwood County crash

Three Tracy residents were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night on U.S. 14.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1979 Jeep CJS SUV operated by Daniel Dean Hanson, 77, of Tracy was traveling eastbound on U.S. 14, as was a 2016 Cheverolet Ambulance operated by Charles Louis Deschepper, 73, of Tracy, when the vehicles collided. The crash was reported at 8:55 p.m. and took place at the intersection of U.S. 14 and the Lyon-Redwood road in Springdale Township in Redwood County.

Hanson and Deschepper both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Tracy's hospital. A passenger in the ambulance, Kimberly Kay Pederse, 55, of Tracy, was also taken to Tracy's hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

The Tracy police and fire departments and ambulance as well as the Lyon County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
