The walls at Sterling Worthington and Adrian are filling up with purple pin-ups—and the generosity behind each one is helping make a powerful difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Sterling Pharmacy’s annual Alzheimer’s Association fundraiser is now in full swing, and there’s still time to get involved. Community members are invited to stop by before the end of June to make a $1, $3, or $5 donation — and thanks to the Astrup Family Foundation, every donation made in-store (or online) will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
The campaign honors the memory of Leonard Astrup, the founder of Sterling Drug, who passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Since 2016, the annual June fundraiser has brought together employees, customers, and communities across all Sterling locations to support Alzheimer’s care, advocacy, and research. During the past nine years, more than $450,000 has been raised and donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
