Six individuals injured in three separate crashes in region

Two individuals from Rushmore were injured early Tuesday morning in a crash in Windom.

 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2013 Cadillac SRX operated by Glen David Francis, 67, of Windom was at a stop sign in the westbound lane at the intersection of U.S. 71 and Minnesota 60 in Windom. A collision then took place with a 2022 Honda Pilot operated by Phyllis Lavonne Meyer, 74, of Rushmore, who was traveling eastbound. The impact caused the Honda to roll on to its roof. The crash was reported at 6:39 a.m. Tuesday.

 

Both Meyer and her passenger, Dennis Charles Meyer, 79, of Rushmore, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Windom Area Health. The Windom Police Department and Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Three people from Sibley were injured early Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 in southeast Minnesota.

 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2020 Chevrolet G3500 operated by Esteban Gonzalez Gomez, 43, of Sibley was eastbound on I-90 in snow/ice road conditions when it left the roadway and rolled. The crash was reported at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday in Mower County's Pleasant Valley Township.

 

Three passengers -- Aaron Gomez, 45, Floribarto Lopez, 35, and Jose Manuel Lopez, 32, all of Sibley, were taken by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Sherburn woman was injured as a result of a Tuesday crash in Martin County.

 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2021 Honda Odyssey operated by Mary Rebecca Bryan, 58, of Sherburn was traveling south on Minnesota 4 in Lake Fremont Township, as was a 2013 Buick Enclave operated by Rachel Ann Wacek, 37, of Albert Lea. The vehicles made contact near the highway's intersection with 40th Street. The crash was reported at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Bryan was taken to Fairmont Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, while Wacek was uninjured. Welcome First Responders, the Dunnell Fire Department and Ambulance and the Martin County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
