A 43-year-old Sibley man was arrested early Thursday morning on a charge of assault on persons in certain occupations with the intent of injury.
An Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to a domestic disturbance between Joshua Lee Wills and his girlfriend at an apartment building in the 100 block of Maple Drive in Sibley, the sheriff’s office reported. According to the incident report, Wills “became aggressive and combative” and pushed the deputy while they were at the top of a stairway. They fell together down the staircase, the report added, with the deputy landing on his back with Wills on top of him.
The deputy was able to gain control of Wills with the assistance of a tenant of the building. The deputy then handcuffed Willis and escorted him to a patrol vehicle. The deputy injured his back and right knee during the incident, the report indicated.
