The city of Sibley is reminding people that per zoning code, the front yard areas of residential properties shall not be used for off-street parking, except that portion of a paved driveway or surfaced parking area adjacent to a driveway.
Parking on any grass portion of a front lawn for vehicles or trailers is not permitted. Parking spaces shall be cement, concrete, asphalt, compacted gravel or equivalent hard-surface materials.
Parking of vehicles on the city's public right-of-way or any vehicle that blocks sidewalk access is also not permitted.
