Sherburn woman hurt in Wednesday crash in Martin County

One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday evening at an intersection on Minnesota 4 near Sherburn.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Debra Espinoza, 71, of Estherville, Iowa was southbound on 70th Avenue and a 2014 Jeep Compass operated by Michelle Johnson, 58, of Sherburn was eastbound on Minnesota 4 when the two collided in the intersection. The crash was reported at 6:01 p.m. Wednesday.
Johnson was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont with non-life-threatening injuries. Espinoza also had a non-life-threatening injury but wasn't transported to a hospital. The Sherburn Police and Fire Departments and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
