Seven hurt in Friday afternoon crash on I-90

A one-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Interstate 90 resulted in multiple people being hospitalized.


A 2004 Ford E350 passenger van operated by Kuku Adris Amoday, 55, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was eastbound on I-90 in snowy conditions when it left the roadway and rolled several times, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. The crash took place at 1:52 p.m. Friday near milepost 30 in Nobles County’s Olney Township.


While Amoday was uninjured in the crash, seven passengers in the vehicle had to be transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center; all sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Passengers hospitalized were: Lemuna Abasa, 27, Til Bhandari, 50, Agra Talla Dalli, 61, Karish K. Kelembi, 64, Biya Tolli Kotudi, 62, and Hanan Shadu, 44, all of Sioux Falls; and Nati Hamid Gali, 44, of Charlotte, North Carolina. All of the passengers were wearing seat belts, as was the driver.


The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office along with the Adrian Fire Department, Rescue and Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
