Erin Schutte Wadzinski was honored as the 2026 Inspirational Woman of the Year during FORWARD Worthington's annual Salute to Women Banquet on Monday night.
Susanne Murphy presented the award to Schutte Wadzinski and talked about why this year's winner is worthy of her recognition.
"What makes this person so special isn't just what she's built — it's how she's built it," Murphy said of Schutte Wadzinkski. "She shows up. She steps in. She cares deeply.
"Whether it's creating free community resources, coordinating support for families during times of crisis, helping children access legal services or bringing talented professionals into Worthington, this person leads with compassion, courage and purpose," Murphy added.
Schutte Wadzinski founded Kivu Immigration Law in Worthington; it now has just under 20 employees and has served more than 1,500 clients. She also serves on the Worthington Independent School District 518 Board of Education as well as the Worthington Planning Commission. She is a member of the Worthington Area Immigrant Advocates network, and — explained Murphy — "invests her time and voice in countless organizations that make our own community stronger."
Schutte Wadzinski is married to her husband, Tyler, and they have a 6-year-old daughter.
