Saturday collision near Pipestone injures two

Two Jasper residents were injured in a Saturday morning crash near Pipestone.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado operated by Donald John Westerbur, 82, of Jasper was northbound on Minnesota 23 and a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 operated by Tyler James Anderson, 37, of Raymond was southbound when they collided near the intersection with 70th Avenue. The crash was reported at 10:13 a.m. Saturday.


Both Westerbur and his passenger, Barbara Ann Westerbur, 82, of Jasper, were transported to a Sioux Falls hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Anderson and an 8-year-old passenger in his vehicle were both unhurt. The Pipestone County Sheriff's Office, Pipestone Fire Department and Pipestone County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
