Rushmore man dies in motorcycle crash

A 66-year-old Rushmore man has been identified as the individual who died in a motorcycle crash last week near Humboldt, South Dakota.
Authorities in McCook County, South Dakota, were summoned to mile marker 371 of Interstate 90, about eight miles west of Humboldt, for a report of a motorcycle-vehicle crash shortly before 8:15 a.m. on Thursday.
According to preliminary incident evidence published by the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a 1998 Harley-Davidson FXDWG motorcycle operated by Terry DeNeui was westbound on I-90 in a two-lane construction zone when it crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2022 Nissan Sentra. DeNeui was reportedly thrown from the motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash yet died at the scene.
