Rock County crash in Beaver Creek Township injures two

A 92-year-old man and 90-year-old woman were injured in a Thursday afternoon crash in Rock County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox operated by Mary Ellen Sorenson, 90, of Jasper was northbound on Minnesota 23, as was a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus operated by Danika Jo Kaster, 40, of Pipestone, when they collided. The crash was reported at 4:52 p.m. Thursday from the intersection of Minnesota 23 and 131^st Street in Rock County's Beaver Creek Township.

Sorenson and her passenger, Arden Ordell Sorenson, 92, of Jasper, were both taken to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with non-life-threatening injuries. Kaster also had a non-life-threatening injury but was not transported. The Rock County Sheriff's Office and Sanford Ambulance assisted at the scene.
