Pipestone woman dies in Tuesday night fatal crash

A Pipestone woman died as a result of a one-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Pipestone County.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Raymond Mark Derby, 58, of Pipestone was southbound on Minnesota 30 when it left the roadway and rolled. While Derby was transported to Avera Pipestone following the crash with a non-life-threatening injury, his passenger – Ann Marie Horsch, 52, of Pipestone – died at the scene. The State Patrol reported that Horsch was not wearing a seatbelt and noted that alcohol was involved.


The crash took place at 8:54 p.m. Tuesday in Sweet Township, Pipestone County. The Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
