One injured in crash near Brewster involving three vehicles

A South Dakota man was injured in a Wednesday afternoon collision in Nobles County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2005 International semi tractor-trailer operated by Curtis John Madson, 41, of Westbrook was southbound on Nobles County 1 in the crossover to go through eastbound Minnesota 60. A 2025 Chevy Silverado pickup operated by Tyler Russell Brown, 39, of Summerset, S.D., meanwhile, was eastbound on Minnesota 60, and a 2026 Mack semi tractor-trailer operated by Joel Lee Mcdaniel, 62, of Avoca was at a stop sign on the south side of Nobles County 1. All three vehicles collided, and the Silverado rolled into the eastbound ditch. The crash was reported at 4:04 p.m. Wednesday.
Brown was taken to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury, while Madson and Mcdaniel were both unhurt. The Nobles County Sheriff's Office, Sanford Worthington Ambulance and the Brewster Fire Department assisted at the scene.
