One hurt in two-vehicle crash on Friday in Nobles County

A Worthington woman was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash that took place on U.S. 59 in Nobles County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Jeep Cherokee operated by Muriel Eileen Karschnik, age unknown, of Worthington was westbound on 160th Street in Elk Township, stopped at a stop sign and made an illegal U-turn in the roadway and came directly in front of a 2021 Subaru Forester operated by Amy Elizabeth Rucker, 53, of Lake Wilson, traveling on U.S. 59. The crash took place at 4:18 p.m. Friday.

Karschnik was taken to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury, while Rucker was unhurt. The Sanford Worthington Ambulance and Nobles County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
