Nobles County COVID-19 numbers see improvement

Nobles County COVID-19 numbers have dropped 19 cases in isolation from the county’s previous report -- from 106 to 87.

The county’s COVID Incident Command Team releases two COVID-19 updates each week. Nobles County Emergency Management Director Tawn Hall said in a press release Wednesday that despite the declining numbers, people are still encouraged to receive vaccinations.

Nobles County infection counts as reported by the Minnesota Department of Health on Tuesday, Sept. 7 were 4,383 total confirmations, up 33 from the previous report. There have been 50 reported COVID-19 deaths, and 87 people are currently infected and still within their 10-day isolation period.

The 87 known, currently-infected residents fall into the following age ranges and are indicated along with the change from the previous report: birth-age 10, 14 (same); 11-15, five (up one); 16-19, five (down two); 20-25, eight (same); 26- 50. 37 (down 10); 51-64, 13 (down six); and ages 65 and older, five (down two).

Area private-vaccine providers in Nobles County, all in Worthington, are: Access Family Medical Clinic/Avera Medical Group, Hy-Vee Pharmacy, Sanford Health, Sterling Drug and Walgreens.
