The Worthington Senior American Legion baseball team will play its final home game of the season on Monday, and it will also be an opportunity to support a local family.
The Worthington Area Youth Baseball Association will donate all sales of hamburgers and hot dogs to the Brian and Beth Iverson family. On the baseball diamond, Worthington will take on Jackson in a Legion doubleheader. A junior Legion matchup is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., with the Senior Legion game to follow.
Worthington's senior Legion squad has a record of 3-7 so far this season. Following Monday's contest, the team is scheduled to play two more road games — July 13 at Redwood Falls and July 15 at Mankato. After that, Worthington will compete in the Sub State Tournament, which is slated for July 22-25 in Mankato.
