MnDOT open house on construction project is June 4 in Windom

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 at the Windom Community Center to share details about the 2025 Minnesota 60 construction project in Windom.

There will be no formal presentation, and the public can stop by anytime to view plans and ask questions. According to a news release from MnDOT, it plans to replace the signals and make Americans with Disabilities upgrades at the Minnesota 60 intersections with Sixth Street and 10th Street in Windom this year.

MnDOT is also proposing to restripe a three-lane configuration as a pilot for community demonstration, consisting of one through lane in each direction and a center left turn lane. The pilot is based on a preferred option from the 2019-2021 Highway 60 Windom Corridor Study, with a goal of improving safety and traffic flow while maintaining business access through the city.
