MnDOT announces completion of box culvert replacement work

The U.S. 59 box culvert replacement project near Jack Creek, located between Fulda and Worthington, has been completed and the detour removed, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Motorists should expect shoulder and turn lane closures this week as crews wrap up work on the project.  

Crews began work on Aug. 5 to replace the existing arch pipe with a box culvert bridge under U.S. 59 to improve drainage and enhance safety. The project was originally planned for completion in early October but is opening ahead of schedule.

R & G Construction Co. was awarded the project with a bid of $865,548.54.
