Minnesota West will host Phi Theta Kappa event on April 28

Minnesota West Community & Technical College will recognize outstanding student achievement during its upcoming Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Induction Ceremony, honoring students who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service.

The ceremony will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 in the Worthington Commons. All students, faculty, staff, friends, and family members are invited and encouraged to attend this special celebration.

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for two-year colleges, recognizing students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher while embodying the organization’s core values of scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship. Membership in PTK offers students opportunities for leadership development, academic recognition, scholarships, and meaningful campus and community engagement.

“This ceremony is an important moment to honor the hard work and dedication of our students,” said PTK Advisor, Dr. Tyler Wadzinski. “Our inductees have demonstrated not only academic excellence, but also a commitment to growth, leadership, and positive impact.”

The evening will include the formal induction of new PTK members, brief presentations, and an opportunity to connect with fellow students, faculty, and staff. Light refreshments will be provided for attendees. For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed.
