Minnesota West to host Healthcare Mini Camps in April in Luverne

Sanford Health in Luverne, in partnership with Minnesota West, is hosting Healthcare Mini Camps for high school students interested in exploring medical careers.

High school juniors and seniors who register will have the opportunity to experience a health care program at Minnesota West along with hands-on activities, presentations and tours, connect with professionals in the health care field and receive access to specialized areas of health care. The tour starts at Sanford Luverne Medical Center, 1600 N. Kniss Ave., and ends at Minnesota West Luverne Center, 311 N Spring St., Luverne.

Registration is limited to 32 students. A free lunch will be provided. Transportation is not provided.

One minicamp will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 13 and will highlight the medical assistant, surgical technology and dental assistant areas of health care. The other will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16 and will focus on medical laboratory technician and radiologic technology studies.
