Minnesota West Community & Technical College has been ranked as the third-best Online Community College in the country for 2021 by Value Colleges.
Colleges considered during the ranking process were accredited community colleges which offered three or more fully online degrees. The cost of tuition, student satisfaction and graduate salary were all included factors that contributed to a college’s ranking.
Minnesota West Community & Technical College offers over 60 majors and technical programs for students to choose from. Minnesota West has programs designed to get students into the work force in as little as nine months, and programs that prepare students to continue on, for further education after completion of their two-year degree.
Additionally, Minnesota West’s practical nursing program has been ranked fifth in the state for 2021 by PracticalNursing.org.
PracticalNursing.org researched practical nursing programs in the state of Minnesota and ranked each program based on the number of students taking the NCLEX-PN and the overall pass rate of the NCLEX-PN over the past five years.
The Minnesota West practical nursing program is designed to create upward mobility nursing education opportunities. After successful completion of the practical nursing program, students will receive the Practical Nursing Diploma and be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN examination. Students may exit at this point to enter the health care field, or continue in the program to receive an associate degree in nursing and then be eligible to take the RN licensing examination.
