In a men’s soccer match earlier this week, Minnesota West improved to 6-3-1 on the season with a 4-3 win over the Dordt University JV in Sioux Center on Monday.

David Castillejos made it 1-0 Minnesota West roughly 15 minutes into the first half. Dordt University tied things up on a penalty kick, but the Bluejays were gifted an own goal with nearly 30 minutes gone by in the first half to make it 2-1. Following a Prince Lebbi goal at 39 minutes, Minnesota West led 3-1 at the break.

Dordt later scored twice to tie the match at three apiece, but Lebbi scored – with an assist credited to goalkeeper Eli Robinson – at the 87-minute mark for the game-winner.

Next up for the Bluejays is a Saturday match at Alexandria Technical & Community College.
