Man has life-threatening injuries in late Friday crash

A Lakefield man was injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday night in Jackson County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1996 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by Arthur Swanson, 89, was northbound on Minnesota 86 near 760th Street when the vehicle left the road and rolled. The crash took place shortly before midnight.

Swanson was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake with life-threatening injuries. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Lakefield Fire Department and Lakefield Ambulance assisted at the scene.
