The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office received a report Monday of threats to the life of the Nobles County Attorney and his family, it stated in a press release Tuesday morning.
"Through investigative techniques deputies determined the suspect, who made the threats, was at his residence located in Round Lake, MN," the release says. "Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office applied for and received an arrest warrant for the individual. The Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance from the High Risk Entry and Arrest Team (H.E.A.T.) due of the nature of the crime along with the history of the suspect.
"Contact was made with the suspect and negotiators communicated with the suspect inside the residence," the release continues,. "On November 14, 2023 at approximately 4:43 a.m., the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. Charges are pending at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Assisting the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office was the High Risk Entry and Arrest Team and Sanford Ambulance."
