Four regional schools have been awarded Launch Your Future Today (LYFT) Career Pathways innovation grants.
Announced as grant recipients this week were, among others: Hills-Beaver Creek High School, which will receive $14,000; Luverne High School, $12,000; Marshall Career and Technical Institute, $15,000; and Jackson County Central, $15,000.
LYFT Pathways launched in 2018 with a legislative grant secured by the Southwest West Central Service Cooperative and its partners. The goal of the funds is to help every student in the region, grades 7-12, to gain marketable skills leading to further education and careers that match the region’s labor market needs via career and technical education programming.
