A Luverne woman died Wednesday in a truck-vs-ATV crash northwest of Luverne.
According to the Rock County Sheriff's Office, Kathy Dietrich, 64, was fatally injured when her four-wheeler collided with a grain truck driven by 43-year-old Troy Meinerts. The report states that Dietrich failed to yield at a yield sign at the intersection of 80th Avenue when she was traveling east on 151st Street. Meinerts was traveling south on 80th Avenue and the two collided.
The crash was reported at 2:46 p.m. Wednesday. The Rock County Sheriff's Office, Rock County Ambulance, Luverne Fire & Rescue and the Minnesota State Patrol all responded to the scene, where Dietrich was pronounced dead by the Rock County Coroner.
Drugs and alcohol were reportedly not a factor in the crash. The Minnesota State Patrol is handling the crash reconstruction.
