Law enforcement introduces new app for violence tips

Law enforcement is asking Minnesotans to download a new app — See it, Say It, Send It — to give tips about planned or threatened violence at Minnesota schools or places of worship.

“The goal with this is to stop violence before it occurs so that people can worship safely, wherever they may worship in our state,” State Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Superintendent Drew Evans said.

Evans contends the same holds true for schools — and if a teen is afraid to come forward, they can leave a tip anonymously.

Evans stresses that in case of immediate threats or ongoing incidents, always call or text 9-1-1 first.
