Latest COVID numbers: 98 current infections in Nobles County

Nobles County COVID-19 numbers have increased slightly from data released earlier this week.


The county’s COVID Incident Command Team releases two COVID-19 updates each week. Nobles County infection counts as reported by the Minnesota Department of Health on Thursday, Sept. 9 were 4,400 total confirmations, up 27 from the previous report on Tuesday. There are 4,252 cases that are past the 10-day isolation. A total of 50 COVID-19 deaths have been reported, and 98 people are currently infected and still within their 10-day isolation period.


The 98 known, currently-infected residents fall into the following age ranges and are indicated along with the change from the previous report: birth-age 10, 14 (same); 11-15, five (same); 16-19, five (same); 20-25, 12 (up four); 26-50. 40 (up three); 51-64, 16 (up three); and ages 65 and older, six (up one).


Area private-vaccine providers in Nobles County, all in Worthington, are: Access Family Medical Clinic/Avera Medical Group, Hy-Vee Pharmacy, Sanford Health, Sterling Drug and Walgreens.


It is recommended that individuals contact their health care provider concerning local coronavirus-testing options. There are also test-at-home kits available from the Minnesota Department of Health.
