Minnesota's next District 21 Senator has issued a press release thanking his supporters and articulating plans for his future following his election-night win.

Chris Knoll of St. James has been elected to represent Minnesota Senate District 21. Knoll, the Republican-endorsed candidate, will succeed retiring Senator Bill Weber.

Knoll said the campaign was a team effort and credited his wife, Amanda, for being by his side from the very beginning. He also recognized the Republican BPOU chairs and leaders throughout the district, along with Weber, for their guidance, encouragement and support during the campaign.

"To everyone who knocked on doors, made phone calls, put up signs, donated, or simply offered a word of encouragement, thank you," Knoll said. "This wasn't something Amanda and I did alone. There were so many people who believed in what we were trying to accomplish, and we're incredibly grateful."

As he prepares to take office, Knoll said his focus will be on representing the people of District 21 and making sure rural Minnesota has a voice at the Capitol. Among his priorities are controlling government spending, addressing fraud and accountability, supporting farmers and small businesses, and making sure rural communities have the resources and opportunities they need.

"I've spent my career working with people, solving problems, and making tough decisions," Knoll said. "I plan to bring that same approach to the Senate. I want to listen to the people I represent, understand the issues affecting their lives, and work toward practical solutions. We may not always agree on everything, but everyone deserves to be heard and treated with respect."
