Jamie Salinas named to lead FORWARD Worthington

FORWARD Worthington announces that Jaime Salinas will be the organization’s new executive director effective May 22.

Salinas and his family have been community members in the Worthington area for more than 15 years, and he has been heavily involved in the community for many years. Salinas volunteered on the King Turkey Day Board for seven years, co-founded and helped organize the Worthington’s Best Margarita event and is a volunteer firefighter for the Worthington Fire Department. Salinas’s voice may be familiar to many due to the time he spent at Radio Works in his position as an announcer/production coordinator for 12 years or for the events he continues to announce for District 518 or Minnesota West.

Salinas has been working as a senior account manager for Doll Distributing for the last two years. He has helped the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce by hosting a business spotlight show on WGTN-TV3 titled “The Chamber Update.” He has also hosted or emceed various Chamber events and served on the Ambassadors Club.

FORWARD Worthington is a non-profit volunteer organization of businesses and individuals who band together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial and civic interests of the community in an effort to expand the economy of the area. It encompasses the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Regional Economic Development for the area.
