The McCallum Museum in Sibley, Iowa is presenting its second Headstone History Tour inside Holman Township Cemetery from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25 om the southwest side of Sibley. The rain date will be at the same time on Sept. 26.
Visitors will learn about the terrible hardships early settlers endured, pandemics, an unsolved crime, an uncovered mystery and about a missionary.
The escorted walking tour lasts one hour, is on paved roads and includes costumed local actors telling the stories of some of Sibley's most notable citizens. Reservations may be made by calling (712) 541-8451 or (712) 754-4108.
There is a suggested donation per person, with all funds raised going to support the McCallum Museum's Barn Shed project.
