A GoFundMe page has been established to support a Lakefield family following an accident involving a 1-year-child in Sioux Falls over the weekend.
The fundraiser, organized by Heather Hummel, asks: "Please help support the Hein family during this difficult time. Madden was involved in an accident on 4/13/24 where he fell from a hotel in Sioux Falls. Madden was taken to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition. Madden has two amazing, loving parents who are teachers, an older sister who is 3 and a little sibling on the way who is due in August. "
"Please help us support Madden and his family during this time and keep them in your thoughts and prayers."
As of Monday afternoon, 510 donations had been made, netting $43,128 of a goal of $50,000. The GoFundMe page can be found under "Support for the Hein Family."
