Frank chosen as new Windom schools superintendent

The Windom school board voted to select Jamie Frank as the district's next superintendent during a special meeting Monday following the completion of a second round of interviews.

Said Dustin Stevens, school board chair: "We believe Mrs. Frank has the qualifications and skills needed to lead Windom Public Schools. We feel she will come into the position with an open mind, ready to listen and committed to moving the district forward. We look forward to working with her."

The school board will be conducting contract negotiations with Frank, who currently serves as grades preK-5 principal at Windom Area Elementary School, and a contract is expected to be approved by the school board at the March 28 regular school board meeting. Her pending start date in the new position is July 1.

Darrin Strosahl, currently with Northwest Technical College in Bemidji, was the other finalist for the post.
