Four hurt as result of truck-vs.-semi crash

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Renville County.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2020 Ford F150 operated by Richard John Jueneman, 71, of Marshall, was westbound on Renville County 4 and a 1987 International 9370 semi operated by Hector J. Martinez, 71, of Olivia was northbound on U.S. 71 when they collided in the intersection. The crash was reported at 1:33 p.m. Friday.


Jueneman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the North Memorial Hospital. While Martinez was uninjured, three of his passengers -- of Olivia, was not injured. His passengers, a one-year-old girl, a seven-year-old girl, and 32-year-old Jessica Cassandra Martinez Ruiz of Olivia, all sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the Olivia Hospital.


Assistance was provided by the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Olivia Police Department, CentraCare Ambulance, Olivia Ambulance, Olivia Fire Department, North Memorial Air Care, and MnDOT.
