The Bigelow Fire Department was dispatched at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday for a fire at 31632 Monroe Ave.
Two buildings were ultimately destroyed in the blaze and another building was damaged. The fire also spread to a nearby grove as a result of strong winds and dry conditions.
It’s thought that the fire began after winds reignited trash that residents at the property had burned on Tuesday night. Recreational equipment stored in one of the buildings were destroyed.
A total of 18 firefighters from the Bigelow department responded to the call, as well as nine from the Worthington Fire Department.
