Entries sought for annual Regatta Chair Auction

FORWARD Worthington is continuing the tradition of the Regatta Chair Auction after officially taking over coordination of the fundraiser from The Globe.

The organization is currently looking for businesses, organizations, artists and community members who may be interested in participating in this year’s auction. Participants sponsor a chair and then arrange to have it creatively painted or designed in the theme or style of their choosing.

Chair sponsorship cost is $200, and chair pickup begins May 15. The preferred return date is June 1, and the final return deadline is June 5. Completed chairs will be displayed and promoted leading up to the auction event.

All proceeds from the Regatta Chair Auction will support the Sports & Recreation Grant Program, helping fund local sports and recreation opportunities throughout the area. People interested in participating are asked to call FORWARD Worthington at (507) 372-2919 and select option 3.
